Philips service center, South Bangalore

In case you are looking for a Philips service center in JP Nagar or Jayanagar, one is available in Jayanagar T-block. It is very near to the T-block bus stand and is at the basement floor midway on the road. Only a small Philips board is visible.

There was one in J P Nagar 3rd Phase called I-Tel which has stopped doing Philips support and does only Samsung service. This though still continues to list in many sites and links in Internet.

They serviced my mixer in a day's time and has given me a six month warranty as well.

One more thing i found that many other people who have turned up for service is for the iron box. May be it is time to avoid a philips iron box !!! :)

Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos and standard mode

In Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos with 4.2.2 version android, in case you want many basic features to be restored back one has to move from "easy mode" to "standard mode". This can be done by settings->My Device->Home Screen mode->Standard Mode (Apply). The following set of functionality will be restored:

• MUTE button during call
• Conference mode during call
• Handset option during call
• Quick text reply
• Multi-window 

And after moving to "Standard Mode" and recreating all the front page option as i have done in easy mode I am left wondering why one needs the "easy mode".
