As the rain soaks the earth like never before, i under the cool comfort of home, find it really pleasing to see earth blushing in drenched clothing. Am i getting poetic?? Should be..
It has been long since i had time to just do nothing and see rain in its full fury during the monsoon. After all the bickering between meteorological dept and rain gods finally it is raining, and raining like it should pour in monsoon. Not long ago.. some 12 yrs back we would be holding umbrella and school bag and venturing out in this down pour to reach the school. In white and white on Saturday's and earlier Wednesday it was a fun fighting to keep your dress in white till you come back from school..
Also i remember those endless days in monsoon when we would run towards the river flowing nearby our house to see if it has risen from the previous night.. All with the hope that if it rises, school would give vacation.. this hope till we finished the schooling always remained a HOPE!! Also rain heralds a time when after a long summer vacation you are forced to the agony of school..
Today taking a leave from the hectic last weeks work at office, it is totally mesmerizing to see the rain to its full fury. These are the thing which i really miss in Bangalore.. There the rain last max for 10-15 mins not like the 24 hr rains in Kerala.. I miss the compliant of mother and grand mother cursing the rain as clothes refuses to dry even after three days!! (Note that they also complain badly when it does not start raining on June 1st!!)
May be those who really want to enjoy Kerala after a long work should plan the trip in monsoon time and do nothing but watch the heavy downpour drench the poor earth like a cherry in a sugar syrup.. it looks good for the cherry connoisseurs but should not be for the cherries :))
This is a collection of events i learned over the years, which would be useful for others to learn and prevent repeating mistakes.

Tejas Onam Celebration

We mallus of tejas celebrated onam today. We made two pookallam, one at the entrance and another in the top floor. the front one was so big that it was hard to take a snap from the top with even the best of the cameras. The top one was put in the reception area. We also had a great onasadya after that. We projected nice photographs and cultural snippets from Kerala.Disclaimer: All the materials are my personal thoughts and this is to clearly indicate that that there cannot be any legal issue brought against me on any item published.

Yet another weekend
The pace at which weeks are flowing by is biweldering. Slowly but steadily i am adding one more week to my past and surely reducing one from my allowed tenure in Earth. You feel a sense of loss if you think this way but an optimisstic view of this is for any person would be that i am good enough to survive yet another week. Clearly then i should be better than all those who had become part of history during the last week. Let us not also forget all those known and unknown characters from the history who made sure that we survived the last week and ensured directly or indirectly our survival for the next few weeks.

Another Friday
So it is yet another friday and it is time to wind up and go home. Today climate outside is also good though the mood of nature is of a sullen expression with black melancholious cloud suffusing itself into the azure. For nature millions of years counts as days but for the ephermeral beings like me each day counts!!
